I was pleasantly surprised by this beautiful heart while walking my dogs on the Nancy Burton Corridor trail which I had just discovered we lived near. It has rained nearly everyday this week and I decided that I couldn’t miss the opportunity to enjoy the nice weather with my dogs and get some much needed exercise. I recently started a new job at a local hospital and was feeling emotionally exhausted. I wasn’t in the mood to leave my house after work but knew the walk would be just the thing to lift my mood. When I saw the heart hanging from a branch, I admired the beauty of the fabric before turning it to find the note. My heart filled thinking about the thoughtfulness put into such a gift and of all the different ways we share love and kindness with each other. I will treasure this heart and pay the kindness forward. Thank you <3
