I found this beautiful quilted heart at the Park Office of Gifford Pinchot State Park in York County, PA on 10/20/24 as my husband and I were looking for a trail map. I felt like it was a sign for me because of the butterfly. We used to call our last dog (who passed in August 2022) our social butterfly. The day she passed, I saw a beautiful butterfly and a sense of peace came over me. I felt like she was telling me that despite the pain of her loss, good things would happen and it would be ok. I’ve seen additional butterflies since she passed, and blessings always follow!
