My 12 year old son and I were pretty bummed today because we have had non stop snow and we had to cancel our spring break plans this week due to the weather. This evening I felt like we needed to get out of the house, so against his will (12year old boy wanting to play video games with his friends) I made him come with me to Waukau Creek for a quick hike and fresh air. We hiked around the pond and even built a snowman. On our way back to our car, he noticed the heart hanging on the gate, of course he had to check it out and he read it, I need a home! And of course the first thing he said is “I’ll give you a home!” Then he told me how this was so much much cooler than hidden rocks and geocaching, which we love to do in the summer. We decided we are going to write the year on the tag and it will be hung on our Christmas tree every year. We pick out together or make together a new Christmas ornament every year, this quilted heart is perfect and will have a fun memory with it! 💙
