We found the quilted heart at our favorite restaurant, Rothchild’s. We eat there nearly every Sunday after church and this particular Sunday, we almost didn’t go because it didn’t feel right without daddy. He was hunting, and it was a family thing for us, so missing one member made it feel a little less special.
Regardless, we decided to go, hopeful the wait wasn’t too long, since this establishment is loved by many for a Sunday morning breakfast.
The wait wasn’t long, so we decided to go for it, even if daddy wasn’t there. It was tradition, after all. We sat in a little bench in the corner to wait for our table, just the three of us, mommy, brother, and sister-getting used to the feeling of the familiar routine, without the familiar amount of people, when we spied a little blue plush heart.
We read about it on the website and felt it truly was meant to be for us to find! It helped make the wait, and the breakfast without daddy pass by with a feeling of excitement, rather than a feeling of missing someone.
This was such a sweet find, and we can’t wait to tell daddy all about it when he gets home!
