I found my quilted heart in Waikanae on a bench in front of the busy New World car park on Waitangi Day!
I walk the Te Araroa in New Zealand. After 6 days in the Tararua Ranges I arrived in Waikanae. I felt very happy, thankful for what I have experienced, also tired and sooo hungry. All I could think of was going straight into the supermarket. But somehow I saw this bench and decided to sit down for a while, taking my time. This was when I found my quilted heart. Now this heart continues walking with me in the South Island. It is part of my Te Araroa trail magic. Thank you! It makes me smile.
