It was a cold, windy but sunny evening on Sunday March 19th. I had been feeling very tired, cold and lonely but forced myself to go for a 3 mile run along Lake Michigan. At the end of my run I was taking some photos and I saw a tree that I liked. As I walked towards the tree I found a quilted heart in my favorite bright fuchsia pink color that said “I need a home.” As I read the label I saw the www.ifoundaquilted heart.com. I immediately went online to discover that what I found was intentional and meant for me and part of a movement of showing care in a world full of chaos. When I returned to my apartment not only was my perspective changed by my run but I had felt such an awesome sense of peace and connectedness knowing that I am not alone and that the heart was meant for me. It was also an affirmation of my faith that God is always with me and working to manifest my goals dreams and prayers. Thank you to the perfect stranger who created my heart.
