Early in May I found this beautiful quilted heart while out walking my dogs. I was foggy and sad, as days earlier my aunt had been very unexpectedly diagnosed with advanced stage pancreatic cancer and we knew time wasn’t on our side.
She was a big Disney fan, and so it’s was very fitting I found this fun and joyful creation of love. I knew then that our family was wrapped in the love of angels gone before us.
She died one month later, and this heart now hangs off a sign I bought to remind my kids how much I love them. She promised to watch over them and I know she will, until the day we meet again. I miss her so much.
