I found my quilted heart on November 6, 2024. I had arrived to St. Maarten a day early for a girls trip and was by myself that morning. My first day in paradise. I saw people walking by the heart, stopping to look at it, and walking away. When I got to it, I saw that it said it needed a home, and so I looked it up. Because of this, I really think it was meant for me. I was feeling pretty bad at the time. I had just found out that my father was about to pass away from cancer. He had been stable, but had started to transition the same day I landed in St Maarten, and I knew I wouldn’t be in time even if I turned right back around. As a cherry on top, the airline had left my luggage in Atlanta, Ga. And my mind was just so frazzled. So this was so very special to find. It’s my most precious souvenir.
