It was a hot day in San Jose, CA on the weekend of July 26, 2014. My family and I were walking in front of a shopping center in the Almaden neighborhood when we came across a small vegetable garden. We stopped to look at it and I saw the heart laying there. I saw that the note said “I need a home.” First, I thought the person who left it needed a home; but then my grandmother pointed out that it was the heart that needed a home.
