We happened upon a quilted heart during our walk during a day full of appointments at Mayo Clinic. The heart has bumblebees on it which happens to be the mascot for our son’s neurological condition, hydranencephaly. “ Aerodynamically the bumblebee shouldn’t be able to fly, but the bumblebee doesn’t know that so it goes on flying anyway.” -Mary Kay Ash Hydranencephaly means Johnny is living without a large amount of his brain and there is MANY things he “wasn’t supposed to be able to do” like LIVING past his first birthday or expressing emotions…. But he will turn 13 in September and spread JOY everywhere he goes!
