I was out for my morning walk. I had spoken with a neighbor at the beginning of my walk about how her culture makes a type of jelly out of acorns. I was looking at all the different types of acorns as I walked, thinking about trying to make some, and I noticed a plastic bag in the tree I was looking at. When I looked closer, I saw that it had a heart inside and a note that said “I need a home!” I grabbed it out and then a couple of ladies that were also out walking accused me of being the one putting them up! They thought they caught me in the act! I told them I had just found it, and they said they had found them before as well. I let them know that if it were me they would have to have been knitted since I don’t know how to quilt. So the mystery continues! 😄 I am constantly knitting things for people, but I very rarely receive anything hand-made from anyone else. I know the person who made this heart didn’t know it was going to me, but they made it for me anyway. It will give me something beautiful to put up in my house and a great story to tell. It would take too many words to explain how much having a new story to tell means to me, so I will simply say, thank you!
