On my way to the second floor of the Ptown library to take my spot as the final reader of the evening for the 2024 Moby Dick Marathon, I spied a pretty piece of fabric on the floor. I picked it up, assuming someone had lost it, and was going to place it in a visible location when I noticed the tag attached saying “I need a home”. I immediately said “aww” out loud and was going to leave it for somebody else, but then I visited the website which told me that this heart was meant to be mine. Turquoise is my favourite colour, so this seemed extra serendipitous. I brought my heart home with me and every time I look at it I smile. Thank you for leaving it for me to find, it brings me great joy.
