My sister, and I found this heart in Nechako Riverside Park, Prince George, B.C. Canada, on June 19th. Neither one of us lives in Prince George, but we both had travelled a long distance to visit each other. Me, a 13-hour drive, and my sister, 14 hours by train. We initially tried to find this park to do some geocaching. I missed the turn off, and we decided to try a different location, but another wrong turn, and a rather circuitous route led us right back to the park entrance we initially missed. We walked down to the rivers edge, and noticed the heart right away hanging in a tree. We both felt it had to have been placed there fairly recently, because it was in pristine condition. Cardinals are our sign for our mom who died in 2015. This was a very special, and meaningful find. As a quilter myself, I am now interested in making these hearts, to bring joy to others. Thank you for this amazing project, and to the person who put all the love, and time into this heart. It really means a lot to both of us.
