Let me start by saying thank you for quilting the heart. My wife and I lost our sweet dog Gilly after a long fought battle with cancer sometime back. We would always come to this area a couple times a year with her on vacation. After loosing her we weren’t sure we wanted another dog much less going back to our favorite places together. A few months back we rescued our new family member Shoresy from a county shelter near our home. We didn’t want to be selfish and not take home to the coast like we often did with our sweet girl Gilly. We would often go to the beaches with her as we looked for heart shaped rocks to add to our collection we made throughout the years. We had not found anything this trip and figured it was because we didn’t have Gilly with us. That was until we came across this heart. It meant a lot to us because we found a heart and it was almost as if Gilly herself was telling us it’s ok. It’s ok to move on and it’s ok to share her favorite places with our new boy Shoresy.
