I found my quilted heart on September 21st, 2024. My family had went to the annual balloon festival for the first time after living in the area now for three years. This heart to me is God’s way of working through others.
Earlier that day my husband and I had been at a hobby store looking for some items we needed for our new woodworking project. While checking out, I noticed a quilting magazine that gave instructions on different types of quilting. I told my husband that this was the next hobby I want to learn. He laughed and we agreed to conquer woodworking before starting something new. Later that evening at the festival, with thousands of people there, acres of ground to cover we found an open area to sit for the glow show. While sitting here I am pulling things from our wagon parked next to a tall pole. The base of the pole had a ledge, littered with ketchup packets that someone else left behind. On the side closest to our wagon, I see a heart. My husband sitting right next to it says, “Don’t touch it! It could be poisoned by something.” He is very cautious and doesn’t like being in crowds so his anxiety was heightened and he was trying to be protective. I felt in my heart that it was meant for me, so I pick it up. Reading the note, I see a website listed on the I need a home tag. I try to search it up and my phone does nothing, jokingly he tells me that I just downloaded a virus. Then he tries with his phone and the same thing happens. We realize our service is nonexistent in this area. So I put it in my bag and take it home.
Later that night after we get home, I search the site. Wow!!! My heart was so touched by the many stories found with each heart and now I have my own. Looking at my heart closer, I see the material used to make this quilt. You would think that it would have something to do with hot air balloons but no. It has heavy equipment patterns on it, and the one that stands out the most is a crane. This connects me that much more to this heart because I work for a company that does construction and we have several big cranes amongst other equipment that we maintain. What are the odds?
My heart is filled with joy, God used this person to send me a message today, my new hobby has its first project, a quilted heart!♥️ God bless you all who bring this hope, love, peace, and happiness with these hearts.
