I was walking around Lake Monger in Perth WA with my baby grandson this morning when I saw the heart on the ground. There was no one close by but there were people at the playground near me. I picked it up and looked around to see if anyone looked like they’d lost it . I work in a hospital maternity unit as a newborn hearing screener so on first glance I thought it was a fabric heart that new mums keep close to their bodies and then put in their babies cot when they’re in the nnu away from mum. The fabric has mums smell and then baby has that with them. I was concerned a new mum had lost it ! Was pleasantly surprised to discover what it truly was. I will gift it to my grandson William to remind him and me of the lovely day out we had. Thank you to whoever made it x
