I went for a hike on my birthday, September 21st at Parfrey’s Glen in Wisconsin. This place has always been a peaceful place for me. The bubbling of the creek, seeking out the various mushrooms, and listening to the birds who inhabit the area. The waterfall at the end is also a lovely touch. There is something about looking up through the bluffs and rocky hills and stepping back from the busy hustle and bustle of life. When my friend and I were returning to the car, we found a heart hanging from a branch. I found a quilted heart! What an odd thing to see out in the wilds…but I love quilted things, so figured I would take it and share the story.
