Oshkosh, WI USA

While travelling I found my heart west of Oshkosh, Wisconsin. I came across it while walking my dog Lena. It was hanging on a winter-stark tree branch by the side of the road and I was drawn to the bright colors. I had attended my 54 year old nephew’s funeral the day before, so I was in a sad frame of mind. Finding the heart made me smile and lightened my mood. I will add this hear to my collection of photos and quotes that brighten the walls of my home. To whomever made and placed this heart, thank you. It came to me at an important time. The photo of the heart includes the poem Desiderata, one of my nephew’s favorites and a good indication of the kind of person he was in life. I will be making and placing a heart or two of my own, not only in Wisconsin but in other places we will travel to this year.
