I was leaving a Water City Speakers Toastmasters meeting at the Coughlin Center and noticed the quilted heart hanging in a tree on the left side of the parking lot. This was roughly 7:18 pm CST on July 2nd 2023. I thought it looked strange, and went closer to inspect it. I read the tag and looked up the website to confirm that this was something that was to be claimed by anyone. (as the Girl Scouts frequent the other meeting rooms.)
I have participated for 14 weeks in my local City of Neenah Sesquicentennial medallion hunt, (via the Neenah Police Facebook) and had missed this week’s Monday medallion by a few people. So it was really nice to find this festive 4th of July Quilted Heart. It was a wonderful and rarer prize than the one I started the day looking for, and given the world wide scale of the hunt for these felted gems more precious to boot. So, I’m fairly certain that I’ll treasure this fateful gift. And maybe take it as a sign that true love will finally find a lonely bachelor like me soon? lol. I don’t know about that, but it’s a great inspiration for a story.
A little about me: I’m medically a giant, my shoe size is 18 EEEEEE. I’m a digital artist, voice actor and script writer.
