I found this beautiful heart in the elevator at Henry Ford Medical Center in Novi, Michigan on December 18, 2018. My husband was going in for tests for something that is prevalent in his family and can lead to cancer. We were both pretty nervous, but thankfully his tests came back 100% clear. I know this heart did not influence the results of his tests, but having it in my pocket for the hours I was sitting in the waiting room really did comfort me, like a secret teddy bear I could hold in my hand. 🙂 I have left art for others to find before, but never found anything myself. Now I truly believe that these little gifts find you when you need them. It is now on our Christmas tree as a reminder that humanity is full of goodness and that kindness and love from a stranger can change our lives in small but powerful ways.
