Northern Oregon Coast Highway, OR USA

Mid September 2021, our family took a road trip from Central Minnesota to the Oregon Coast. Our 13 year old daughter, Azaelea, had recently passed away, after a year and a half fight with leukemia. We took this trip to place rocks, hand painted by friends and family, on her favorite beach in Seaside OR in her honor. We had just finished that emotional task and headed down the coast. I’m a slow mountain driver, so I utilized a turn out lane. While letting traffic pass I noticed a flash of color in a patch of ferns(my favorite plant). I hopped out of the car and grabbed it. This little trinket immediately brought happy tears to my eyes. It was a moment in which I truly needed an extra dose of random love. This heart now has a place on my daughter’s altar. Many thanks to the lovely artist. I hope to pay it forward some day. Much Love!
