I found this quilted heart when I was walking along a stretch of the river nene that passes through Billing Aquadrome in Northamptonshire. At the lock there I saw the heart pinned to the fence. I was intrigued, because I hadn’t seen them before, but didn’t take the heart as I wasn’t sure I should. When I got home I researched the quilted hearts and thought it seemed a lovely idea, and wished I’d picked up the one I’d found. A few nights later, after having had a really, really (very) horrid day, I walked to where I had seen the heart and was happy and surprised to find it was still there. It seemed like fate. Thank you to the person who made and left the heart there. It really did cheer me up, and it has come to mean a lot to me. I’m not great at sewing, but I may even have a go myself to pass the kindness on. Thank you again.
