My autistic son found a heart!! We were out shopping at hobby lobby Saturday afternoon. My youngest (of five) kiddos are twins, age 6. Both are high support needs autistic and one is medically fragile, and non verbal. Conrad and Edward, Edward speaks some and found the heart! He was pointing and said LOOK!! A heart!! I wasn’t sure if we should remove it from the shrub, but I couldn’t help but investigate. We were all elated to see it was in need of a home! It’s absolutely lovely and made our evening..their behaviors can be very challenging and people often stare at us. This truly made us all stop and reflect on the little joys of life.
