I am from Newark, NY and went to New Bern, NC to visit a school friend. Another friend from Florida also came to join us. We went into town sightseeing on Monday October 17th. We stopped at an Ice Cream Shop called Moo Cafe’ for an afternoon snack. Leaving the cafe’ there are small potted trees on the side walks. I looked up and here it was. I took it and read the note that it needed a home. It just made my day especially when I saw the little hummingbird stitched on the heart. There is a story of the hummingbird. The 2 girls that I was with and 4 others all grew up together in Newark. Over the course of many years we would call, visit and stay in touch somehow. We lost one which brought the other 6 of us together for a reunion. We vacationed yearly until Covid hit and have not since all been together. We named our of 6 friends “Forever 7”. Sandy whom we lost loved hummingbirds and when we are together she comes to us via the appearance of a hummingbird. So finding this heart with the hummingbird was my sign she was with us again. Thank you for leaving this for me to find and know the 3 of us had the presence of Sandy with us again.
