I found the heart with the green button three years ago in a waiting room at the Mayo clinic in Rochester, Minnesota on the morning I was being released from a major surgery after lots of chemo and radiation to treat an extremely rare and deadly cancer. The heart gave me such joy and hope I wanted to post a big thank you and then start making my own hearts to release into the world… But I didn’t realize how weak and sick I was still going to be for quite a while. A belated but deep thank you to the person who made it and left it, I hope you still check these postings.
I found the blue heart with the three red flowers, eight months ago in Clear Lake, Iowa. Since I already had one, I left it for someone else to find. But it reminded me how much they both meant to me and how much joy they bring. Now that I am cancer free and feeling well the second heart inspired me to start making my own hearts and leaving them for others to find. This gives me as much joy and pleasure as finding the hearts did.
Again, thanks so much to the two people who left hearts for me and my love and best wishes to the people who find my hearts. And a heartfelt thank you to the women who began and maintain this site.
