I was finishing an early summer walk at my local wilderness area as I glanced ahead and noticed an exceptionally large green ‘leaf’ hanging over the trail, right at eye level. I slowed, focused and realized it was a quilted heart with a note attached. I read the note and almost left it on the tree but turned around and took it for a friend who just found out she has cancer… a sign.
