This is the time of year I take frequent walks to look for turtles sunning themselves, warming up after winter. April 19 was sunny so I headed out; as I turned to go home (having spotted a few turtles), I spotted something colorful in a tree just off the path. Another walker helped me detach it from the tree and we agreed I should take it home, so I did. I had not heard of IFAQH before, but I thank you, Sisters and the anonymous quilter who made and placed the heart. I am fairly new to this area and my walks are my best way to connect with the community and feel like a part of it. I’m also just glad to see that people are doing needlework! Hurrah to everyone who practices homely skills for themselves, their families and communities rather than for money or attention.
