I was on my way into work at the wee hours of the morning to leave my sub plans and materials ready for the substitute who would take charge of my students for the day (I’m a teacher), when I came upon what looked to be a handmade Christmas ornament on the floor by the entryway to my school. I picked it up, thinking that perhaps a student had lost their ornament. I tucked in my pocket to look at it properly later in order to see if I could identify its owner. I soon discovered however that this was a worldwide project that I’m happy to be a part of in a small way. My quilted heart has now found a home on our family Christmas tree in our home.
