I found this beautiful heart at the perfect time.

I just moved here from a town from a county I had lived my entire life, and at times it’s tough. There are days when I feel alone and I worry about my future here.

That day I was taking my twenty-four year old daughter to Breast Center at Evan. She has fibroadenomas, which are non-cancerous tumors, but have the potential to be cancerous (although it’s rare). The basic protocol is to monitor the tumors, and biopsy/remove them if they get too large. My daughter has already had one surgery, and a biopsy. Going to the doctor with her for me is terrifying. That day we got good news, another ultrasound in six months. We were both elated, although you can never actually feel relief.

On our way out of the building on a hedge I saw a flash of color that we first thought was a mask that was caught in the wind. Upon closer inspection we discovered that it was a beautiful tiny quilted fabric heart. We took it off of the hedge where it was hanging, and it had gotten wet in it’s plastic bag. We laid it flat and allowed it to dry. I wanted my daughter to have it, but she insisted that I take I kept it because I was thrilled finding it.

This beautiful little creation, a piece of love left for a stranger truly made my day. It was/is a ray of sunshine that I will cherish forever.

Many thanks to the person who made this! I am so grateful for you!
