I’ve always taken walks around the neighborhoods I’ve lived in throughout my life. I challenge myself to zoom in on little things and appreciate them for what they are. Those things are often the patterns of leaves or in the funny way things answer my silent questions I only mull over in my head on my “gratitude walks”. On this particular walk I focused on the plants and trees in my neighborhood that gave me an appreciation for my home. In the same strip I had walked past and found some sticks off a sycamore laid out on the sidewalk, I found the enchanting, peculiar heart hanging on a false cypress sapling. After a moment’s deliberation, I had decided to entertain my whimsical thought as to what the tiny inscription on the laminated paper could be. Much to my surprise, it seemed this little quilted heart was designed to entertain my whimsical desire to bring it home. It even was quilted in the colors most frequent throughout my home. Indeed, this little heart was made for me.
