Our family gets together every year to participate in a walk for breast cancer research. Breast cancer has been found in two family members and has taken the life of another family member too soon.
This year our walk was canceled due to a thunderstorm so we got together on a Sunday at Petrifying Springs Park to walk. As we walked through the park, we found a quilted heart hanging from a tree and we brought it home to hang on the picture frame of my aunt who passed from metastatic breast cancer a few years ago.
