After buying souvenirs for my mother in Victoria’s market in Inverness, I found a quilted heart between some flowers in the garden of a church. I brought it home with me to Alkmaar, a city in the Netherlands. My mother is very happy with it and loves the movement of quilted hearts. She often paints little pebbles and leaves them somewhere for people to find, much like the painted hearts 🙂
