I found my heart at a panel build for Habitat for Humanity. I volunteer for this organization and we were helping volunteers from Erie Insurance build the walls of a house for a deserving soon-to-be new homeowner. Low income people are chosen to earn a home by investing 300 hours of labor, attending financial responsibility classes at Habitat University, and assuming an interest free mortgage. Homes are built using many volunteers and donated materials. It was a windy chilly day and this find warmed my heart.
