While I was walking to the center of our campus to get a newspaper, I found a little yellow heart with a butterfly. I was delighted because my daughter had found her first heart during our spring break together, and she was hugely delighted. She had commented that when I went back to work full time after break, she would keep it at kindergarten and share it at show and tell to think of me. In the evening when we were re-united after I’d given her the butterfly heart and we’d shared a moment, we were walking to go get dinner. What should she find but a green heart with a flamingo! “We each found one today!” she grinned… She’s so pleased to have a little collection, and it’s particularly special because both of us paint on rocks and we often make hearts for others, so it’s fun to find hearts. She’s interested in how to make them for others, as she would like to give back to the quilted heart community and also keep all the ones she has found, as each is differently significant, is there a tutorial? Thanks!
