I found this lovely quilted heart hanging in a live oak tree and swaying gently in the breeze. It caught my eye as soon as I stepped out of my vehicle in the parking lot outside a UPS store, where I was preparing to send Christmas packages to my nieces in Missouri and California. I read the note attached to the heart and thought “How sweet of someone to go to the trouble of making this heart, probably trying to brighten someone’s day.” I then quickly thought “It wasn’t meant for me. I should leave it for someone else to find.” I went inside UPS, got the packages sent off, came back to my vehicle and got in. I sat there watching the heart slightly twisting and turning, got out of my vehicle and untangled it from the tree. I held it it my hand, smiling and turning it over and admiring the pretty fabrics and dainty decorative details, and held it on my lap as I drove home from this last errand on my much-brightened day.
