We were traveling through Hogsback on our first vacation together, when we found a purple, green and white quilted heart that was meant to be mine.
Only about 30 minutes earlier, the love of my life went down on his knee and asked the “BIG” question at the beautiful 39 Steps Waterfall. I said yes with a joyous heart.
Excited and in love, we proceeded to travel though the garden at Hogback’s gorgeous Wildlife sanctuary when I stumbled upon a purple piece of cloth tied to a small twig that had broken off from a tree overhead at the sight of the five big Redwoods in Hogsback.
At first I was bamboozled as to what it was and just thought it was a cute heart someone had left there, as I read the wording on the heart, the first words were “I need a home”. Instantly, I thought this was a symbol of our love and that our relationship was meant to be. Only later I realized how special it was to find one of these hearts and now I know it was meant to be mine and that my fiancé and I were also meant to be.
I feel truly lucky and blessed to have found this heart on such a special occasion and I am glad to share our story. I will treasure it always.
