I was riding my bicycle on some of the trails in Illinois near the Wisconsin border. I stopped at the observation platform that overlooks Goose Lake a few miles outside outside of Hebron, Illinois, and I noticed something hanging from a large plant that was next to the platform. I thought that maybe somebody was trying to give away some cats or something when I saw the I need a home label, but then I figured that this would be a poor way to advertise in the middle of nowhere. I read the rest of the label and realized it was the heart itself that needed a home! I took it with me, and it is now hanging by my computer at home. I’ve never heard of the quilted heart program before, but I think it’s a really great idea!
