As we left Hanalei yesterday afternoon, I noticed something dangling in a small tree near the tributary along side the beach parking. I thought it was perhaps a memorial and went to look at it, then was surprised to discover it “needed a home.” My first visit to Kauai was last October 2022, and I fell in love with the beauty and peacefulness of this island. So here I am back about 6 months later…and I find this lovely heart! Also fitting, a close friends’ daughter recently graduated from Washington State and her other daughter attends the University of Hawaii. Mahalo for the memory!
