Two years ago my husband broke his leg, it required surgery and once he was cleared for weight bearing and going to physical therapy osteomyelitis was discovered. We spent more than a year fighting the infection he had 8 surgeries and in November 2023 his artificial knee was removed. During the intervals between surgeries he was on strong IV antibiotics. I was basically a hostage in the home as the medicine had to be given two or three times a day on a schedule. Finally this May he had leg fused and discontinued the IV drugs in June. I started back to exercise classes in at the Ft Ritchie Community Center in July. I needed to regain a basic level of fitness. I go there four or five times a week. Today I went to yoga and discovered the heart on a table in entrance area. I see it as a sign to continue my exercise program and it made me very happy. I have 3 sisters too.
