I love RAKs. As I traversed through my favourite local Pokemon Go park, I noticed an odd color in the trees with my peripherals. Upon glancing up from my phone I could see the outline of a heart but decided to continue on my Pogo adventure wandering further and further away from the scene of distraction. The distance grew between us but the curiosity of this thing in the tree grew as well and I soon found myself heading back to inspect the oddity. Once I arrived at the tree my hands reached in, pulling out a quilted heart in need of a home. I often travel this route and was surprised to find a novelty heart hung in the branches. I wondered what sweet soul had sneakily placed it there and then I thought of my daughter who wants to learn to quilt and has just begun sewing. I was excited to share this heart with her and introduce her to a new way of RAK.

This stars and stripes-themed fabric heart is perfect for a Texan like me! I am also inclined to think of my younger daughter when I see this little heart. We always use stars for anything related to her because her name is Nova, which is a type of star. Arbitrarily this heart has a piece of the word liberty and I found it a few days after July 4th! As a christian, my freedom comes from Christ sacrifice on the cross, His death, Burial and Resurrection _ the atonement for my sins. July is a time of great thought and rejoicing in this freedom and the freedom of being a US citzen and Texan. I believe this heart was specifically meant for me and my family.

May this little heart continue to remind me of my identity and the blessings bestowed upon me.
Thank you for this encouragement to grow and kindness and to continue to spread the love.
