My partner and I have been going on long walks every other day to aid my rehab from an ACL tear last year (it’s been a rough and extremely long recovery journey). We always make a point to cross this lovely bridge in a local park during our walks, which was recently damaged. On our walk today, we saw traffic cones on the bridge from afar and were elated to see the township replaced the broken planks. Once we approached the cones, we noticed something hanging on one… I found a quilted heart! It was such a spark of joy right when I needed it, even moreso after waking from an awful nightmare this morning and the particularly dreary weather this afternoon. Also, coincidentally, the quilted heart coordinates unbelievably well with an upcycled wool bag I purchased at my favorite farmers’ market and absolutely treasure. The perfect pair, even down to the little blue flowers in the fabric pattern! I can’t help but feel like my finding this heart today really was meant to be like it says on the website homepage. We’re moving out of state in a matter of weeks, now that recovery is progressing at a healthy rate with physical therapy finally nearing its end, and you can bet this little good omen will be with me for our new chapter in Maine.

Whoever quilted the heart: thank you so much for the time you put into this. It means a lot to this stranger (:
