Backstory: My 94 year old mother, along with her three daughters, take a yearly women’s getaway together. This year was a lot different, and sadder, since our little sister passed away due to cancer in August and my mom decided not to come.
My sister and I were staying at Eagle Centre House Bed and Breakfast. We took a walk on the path through the Eagle Centre Prairie conservancy. When we got to the top of a hill, there was a tree without its leaves, only a lone quilted heart. I knew what it was from seeing posts on Facebook, so I explained to my sister what it was based on what I knew from the posts. We looked up the website when we got back for clarity.
This quilted heart is a little faded from being in the elements, but has now been found and has a home. I believe it was fate and perhaps a way my sister was joining us on our adventures.
