I have traveled from Lubbock, to N. DFW for almost 10 years. Every single month. I was so excited to see this crafty little heart slipped so sweetly in the framework of one of the doors! My mother quilts and it was such a great pick me up that day! I have visited through here since before this location was built. This particular find was unique because it literally was in the middle of nowhere!
This part of Texas is quite impressive, not heavily populated, with historical markers about Comanche and Texas Ranger battles, everywhere once. There are more deer than people.
My attachment here is, my great-great grandfather was a TX Ranger and head security for the King Ranch- killed in the line of duty- Pinkney Barnhill. My dad was the first certified ER doctor in the history of the state of TX, establishing the 2nd Emergency Medicine Residency Program for the US Army, at Darnell Hospital in Temple, TX. My dad took his life 20 yrs ago, this upcoming Memorial Day weekend. Yes. I know why. I miss him a lot.
This IFAQH heart was found near the Pitchfork and 6666 territory.
Some of the most painful things can come from nowhere. Then a quilted heart that comes out of nowhere too. To the one who made this? I can play Beethoven on piano but I cannot quilt. Thank you for sharing your blessed gift!
