Delray, FL USA

During the Coronavirus pandemic the parks in our area have been understandably shut down. I would sometimes drive around with my son searching for a park without caution tape wrapped around it but they did not exist. Recently I decided to take a random turn on my way home from the grocery store into the Lake Ida Park in Delray Beach, FL. To my surprise I did not see any caution fencing or tape up! I rushed home to tell my husband, I was so happy I could cry. He saw my excited and we decided to go there as a family the next day. While my son was having the time of his life exploring the stairs and slides, something caught my eye hanging from a tree, anyone who knows me knows that I’m the most curious person, so even if it was just a chip bag (which is what I thought it was going to be) I was still walking over there to check it out. I was pleasantly caught off guard when I saw that it was a quilted heart looking for a home! It brought so much joy to my day! Not only do we have an open park near our house again, but we have some amazing locals spreading some love and hope for the here and now! My son was on a one tracked mind to conquer climbing all of the steps, therefore wanted nothing to do with this photo, but he was excited I swear!
