My pup Nanook and I found our beautifully quilted heart hanging from a young willow tree on the banks of Crabtree Canal. We walk or run this canal almost every day, so when there’s something new, we take notice! This purple heart, a symbol of courage, couldn’t have come at a better time – we lost Nanook’s big sister, Keema, last weekend to a rare and sudden-onset auto-immune disease, IMHA. Our hearts are broken, so finding this one from a weeping willow reminds us to take courage because love still abounds, even among strangers.
Thank you so much to IFAQH and all the quilters out there sharing their love! This will forever hold a special place in our healing hearts.
