It is June 12th and my son’s 15th birthday. We were walking along the river in Clinton Indiana and underneath the covered picnic benches. As my son rounded the table he happened to notice a heart hanging on the post. He was quite curious as was I. We both became excited as we read “I need a home”. We both agreed we could give the heart a home. I slipped it in my back pocket as we began to finish our walk. Down by the river we went. We made a quick right and up the stairs to the bread oven. Up the big steps we went . One big step after another until we rounded a 4×4 post with vines hanging down. I looked up and my eyes snapped to the left and to my disbelief there was another beautiful heart making us feel really special on his birthday. I have to say we walked home not knowing what they were. Now I sit here writing this I’m awe how you were able to get us to feel special and then for us to be involved with getting the hearts. This is really special and a beautiful thing. So to you 3 sisters I say thank you for giving us 2 hearts on his special day. They are both so beautiful.
