A Heartwarming Christmas Discovery

With the excitement of moving to our new house next weekend, I was feeling a bit worn out from the endless packing. On Christmas morning, I decided to take my 2-year-old son out for a much-needed break and a walk. We went to deKoevend park, he was riding his little bicycle, happily pedaling along, and I was just trying to enjoy the moment despite the busy days ahead.

As we passed a familiar tree, something caught my eye—a small quilted heart hanging from a branch. It was so unexpected and beautiful, like a tiny piece of magic left behind just for us. I reached up to gently take it down and handed it to my son. His face lit up as he placed it on his bicycle, like it was the perfect new accessory for his ride.

We brought the quilted heart home, and it felt like the perfect little Christmas gift—simple, sweet, and full of meaning. In the midst of all the packing and preparation, this small surprise reminded me to pause and appreciate the little joys around us. It was a lovely moment that made Christmas feel truly special. Thank you!
