My daughter and I found this heart while we took a walk toward the Monon Trail in Carmel, Indiana (it was actually at an intersection, hanging in a tree). Although as much as both of us love to walk together, with her busy high school schedule and my busy work schedule, we rarely find the time to walk. When she was little, we used to walk on the trail nearly every day. We both talked about the points on our walk that used to make her so happy as a young child. She had a particular rock she would stand on, a tree she would lean on, and a small creek she would watch. She and her older sister (now at Purdue) loved our times outside. As they grew older, these times became hard to find, as I mentioned. The quilted heart was a token for us to remember how much we loved this time together and to promise to be intentional and take more walks!
