I was walking on the Monon trail, headed to a friend’s workplace after I had gotten off work. It was a sunny day, and on the path, hanging off of bare bush branches, was a heart. A quilted heart. I looked at it, thinking little of it and passing it by, thinking it odd but not for me. I thought someone else may pick it off the branch. Then, not a minute or so later, I found another one. This, I thought, was not coincidence. Not mere chance had brought this to me. I wanted to discover its origin, and by the information it presented, I knew that it was possible. So here I am, sharing this story. I hope another soul finds that heart and gives a like story. Past the 28th of February, 2023, if you find a quilted heart on the Monon, I wish you well and that you treasure it like I shall treasure mine. We all are connected to each other in ways unfathomable. Stay connected, friends.
