I was having a tough day on 3/11/23 and went to the ocean to find some good for my bad day. One of my favorite ocean spots is Kettle Cove. There are a few benches on a little peninsula shaped part of the cove so I walked out and sat in the benches for a while with my camera to hopefully capture some sea birds. I adore the birds. After I sat for awhile, I was walking back to my car and a black and white something caught my eye, it was hanging on a tree branch right next to the ocean. I looked closer and it was a quilted heart with penguins on it- did I mention man I love birds?! Well I also love hearts so it made me smile immediately just seeing it. Then I noticed to note attached that said ‘I need a home’. I’m glad it said that because I was going to leave it there, thinking it was someone else’s. I took it back to my car and checked out the web page right away. Loved seeing all the stories! This quilted heart brightened my dark day and I took it as a sign that this too shall pass. And there is ALWAYS something good in every day, sometimes you just have to go looking for it ❤️
